St John’s latest edition of The Beacon

In December 2018, St John’s published the first edition of The Beacon, a digital newsletter designed to raise awareness, inform, support and inspire.

Much to our delight, in the first 24 hours of its release, we welcomed excellent feedback.

This is a really helpful newsletter to see what the sector is up to in BANES and what is available for groups. I think it’s the first time I have written back to anyone to say how good I thought their newsletter was!”

Once shared across our social media channels, we began receiving requests for subscriptions to the online newsletter. It was to be shared on a quarterly basis, only next time we would be able to extend our reach even further to more individuals.

Our new publication was a celebration of the impact of not only our work, but the work of all organisations and charities in Bath and the surrounding area. We wanted The Beacon to act a platform for others to share what they do and show how, together, we can make Bath a truly inspiring place to live and work.

Consequently, in March this year, we released our second edition of The Beacon.

Our latest publication features Bath Life Awards news, information of organisations we funded in January, a particular focus on our Community Outreach Service and their new Spring-Summer What’s On Guide, a collaborative case study on Bath charity, Mentoring Plus, and a segment on our role as a landlord in Bath.
