Today (Thursday 6th September) sees the launch of the second edition of our popular free guide providing information on a wide range of opportunities open to people aged 55 plus in Bath and the surrounding area.
The ‘What’s On’ guide has been produced by St John’s Foundation’s Community Outreach Service and The LinkAge Network. The first edition, launched in April, reached dozens of organisations and thousands of people, providing information on opportunities ranging from cooking classes, to local arts, dance, music and sports groups.
In response to the demand from both organisations and individuals, the second edition of the guide is bigger than the first, with an increased print run.

Ricky Bush, our Community Outreach Manager, said:
There are lots of terrific opportunities for people aged 55 plus in our local area and the What’s On Guide brings together information on dozens of them in one place. The second edition of the guide is bigger than the first, and we are delighted to have worked with The LinkAge Network and lots of other organisations to put it together.
At the heart of our Community Outreach Work is both providing inspiring opportunities for people aged over 55 and tackling loneliness and isolation in this age group. I hope people in communities across Bath and the surrounding area benefit from the guide.
