On Friday 23rd November, The Bath Property Awards and their array of finalists and sponsors came together to celebrate the best in property that Bath has to offer.
A lunchtime event commenced at 12pm, followed by the awards ceremony. We are extremely proud to be involved in an event such as this and wish all of the winners many congratulations!
A massive well done, particularly to Stonewood Builders for winning the ‘Contractor’ category, and Aaron Evans Architects for winning ‘Architect of the year’! We have been extremely fortunate to work with both on the redevelopment of Chandos House.
Here’s how it all started…
In October, St John’s were delighted to discover that our innovative Chandos House project had been shortlisted for not just one but two categories in the Bath Property Awards; the ‘Transformation’ category and the ‘Residential Development’ category.
This unique development in the heart of Bath was originally an Almshouse, built in 1729. St John’s Foundation has worked with partners such an Aaron Evans Architects, Michael Edwards Consultants and Stonewood Builders to renovate this historic Grade II* listed building to create seven, elegant, individual apartments, offering high-quality retirement living in a picturesque and vibrant city centre setting.
Being shortlisted by the Bath Property Awards reflected the value of the transformation that has been achieved. To be selected by the judges as award winners reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment of our staff and those we work with to complete on projects such as Chandos House.
Like everything we do, Chandos House is about supporting people in our area to be resilient and independent. We are really proud to have already welcomed a number of apartment owners to their new lives in Chandos House.
We would like to use this opportunity to thank the organisations and individuals who help us to create the greatest impact in Bath and the surrounding area.
