Senior Management Team
Chief Executive: Jonathan O’Shea
Jonathan is Chief Executive of St John's Hospital. Through the centuries, this position has also been known as ‘Clerk to the Trustees’ and is often referred to in many ancient documents. He leads the Senior Management Team and has been with the organisation since March 2008.
As part of his role, and St John’s involvement in the wider community of Bath, Jonathan chairs the Initiative for Bath and North East Somerset. The Initiative is a forum for local businesses and the Council to look at the issues impacting on the economy of the city. In addition, Jonathan is a Director of Future Bath Plus and a Trustee of Julian House.

Director of Care: Myra Dow
Myra is Director of Care of St John’s Hospital. She has strategic responsibility for the care and support of all the Almshouse residents and also for the grant making to individuals and to organisations. She has been with St John’s since February 2002, when she joined as ‘Matron/Head of Care’.
As part of her role, Myra is a member of the Older Peoples’ Strategic Partnership. This group meets to consider the overall strategic direction of services for older people in BANES. She is also a Trustee of the Association of Charitable Foundations, which is an umbrella body providing advice, support and training to Trusts and Foundations.

Director of Support Services: James Money-Kyrle
James is Director of Support Services at St John’s Hospital. He has overall responsibility for not only the Financial Systems, Human Resources and the Facilities team but also Information and Communication Technology, which he sees as one of the most important and challenging features of modern charities.
James joined the Charity in 2009, after leading the Finance Team of the Welsh branch of the newly merged Age Concern and Help the Aged charities, thus bringing a wealth of expertise and experience of the third sector to St John’s, as well as knowledge of business and private enterprise.

Director of Property: Paul Taylor
Paul is Director of Property at St John’s Hospital. Paul has overall responsibility for the property that makes up our endowed estate and which generates the income that allows the charity to continue to provide its almshouse accommodation and its provision of grants. Paul is also responsible for the modernisation of our almshouses.
Paul has over 25 years of property fund management as Head of UK Direct Property Investment at Schroder Property Investment Management and prior to that working at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Paul brings to the role a personal enthusiasm for historical architecture with a particular interest in Georgian buildings.
